This student is a first-semester student who has exemplified what it means to be a champion of others! They were chosen as class president and they have proven to be an excellent leader. For the first exam of nursing school, they brought donuts and coffee for the entire class. They developed visual aids to help them study and shared theses with the entire class. They are humble in their knowledge and experience and strive to grow in the process of becoming a nurse. On the days the students were scheduled for Independent Practice and CPE, they coordinated with the class vice president to ensure that all students had someone present to provide them with feedback and support. They lead with respect and dignity and seek to ensure all their classmates feel supported. When a fellow classmate had car trouble and was forced to miss vital clinical time, they offered to drive this student to clinical 35 minutes one way, on their day off from work and school. Their selfless dedication to their patients and fellow classmates is a welcome blessing to all around them.
