He was right there being supportive and acting like this was not only a job for him, but he truly cared!
Jesse Stecker was great at listening to any concerns I had and giving a full explanation in return. When I had to get up and walk for the first time after surgery, he was right there being supportive and acting like this was not only a job for him, but he truly cared! Jesse is first class! As with any surgery, after-care is very much a part of the healing process. Jesse was a ray of sunshine when he walked into the room. I could not have asked for more with him as my nurse!

I want to recognize Jesse Stecker in nursing on the third floor as an absolutely outstanding nurse. Jesse has a high degree of emotional intelligence. He understands the individual personalities of postop surgical patients and is able to quickly adapt his care style to meet the patient where they are at. He goes above and beyond to address their needs- I have received numerous compliments from patients that he is “attentive”, “thoughtful”, responds quickly to their needs, and addresses questions appropriately. From a provider's perspective, I have complete trust in his clinical assessment of urgent and nonurgent issues. He has very good clinical judgement. He has top-notch communication and provides me with morning nonurgent updates sign-outs directly on my patients through a secure chat. He provided thorough and appropriate information. I want to recognize him for his outstanding work. I am so grateful when I see he is caring for one of our spine patients.
