Being a patient is HARD! Being a patient with 26-plus years of hospital experience and currently working in ICU is even more difficult! Jessibeth made it easier. She is truly (not to sound corny), an angel on earth!
She displayed exemplary professionalism and had a fantastic work ethic. Her communication skills were impeccable. She made me feel safe and more importantly, she made me feel human! Not like a job. I was not, "I was just another diverticulitis in room X". Her dedication and love for her job really shined through. She is NOT a person who has ever said "That's not my job" or "I can't do that". And did I mention... EIGHTEEN YEARS on 3 Central????? Surely, that deserves an award. The world would be a better place if we had more people like Jessibeth in it!
