Her smile, caring voice, and compassionate heart made my hospital stay something so beautiful.
Jesse stood out to me as being unique and special in the areas of Remarkable Care and extraordinary compassion. The first thing that stood out to me was Jessie’s caring voice and compassionate smile. Those two simple acts of kindness Jesse gave so freely. In today’s fast-paced world, one often thinks that you have to do something big, bold, and significant to make a difference in someone’s life. Quite the contrary is true. It’s the little things that make the difference, for the little things, truly are the big things. Jessie’s smile and caring voice set the tone immediately. She put me at ease and also put my worried son at ease. She made us feel that she had our back, and indeed she did. She always kept us informed about what was going on, updated us on any new developments, and shared what she knew about the day's plan of action. Jessie was always there to answer our questions so willingly and help in any way she could. Jessie felt like family right from the start. I’d felt like I’d known her before. It was so easy to talk to her. She not only treated you with kindness and compassion as a patient, but as if you were a friend and family member. Jessie felt to me like one would feel about a daughter. We would chat about many things, not just my medical protocol. She humanized me, versus just being her patient. Jesse cared for me the first 2-3 days at the beginning of my hospital stay. The remaining days I had someone else. Jesse popped in to see me near the end of my stay, just to say hi, to see how I was doing, and to catch up. She didn’t have to do that at all. That was going above and beyond.

Jesse went above and beyond, truly showing me kindness, caring, compassion, empathy, and love. Jesse is an example of how all nurses should treat their patients. Her smile, caring voice, and compassionate heart made my hospital stay something so beautiful. She took the focus off my pain and allowed me to center my thoughts on feelings of gratitude for the wonderful care Jesse gave me.

Thanks for all you did for me, Jesse! You truly touched my heart! I wish you all “The Best” in Life Always!
