I recently had surgery and on the evening of my surgery, I had complications. Danielle Bushnell and Jessica Ange were my nurses and they literally saved my life. They were getting me up for the first time and noticed my color was quickly diminishing. I passed out and was unresponsive, but they acted swiftly to care for me and get the physician back to my bedside. My sister told me days later how amazing they were during that critical time. If it weren’t for those two, I may not be here today to celebrate them. These two nurses are certainly right where the Lord wants them to be. I ended up having to go back to surgery where I had 1.5 liters of blood in my belly. Had it not been for Danielle and Jess, I cannot imagine the outcome as I did not demonstrate any other clinical signs of this until my color changed. They picked up on this immediately. I have the honor to work with Danielle and Jess every day. After my surgery, the staff of the Family Birth Center, the Family Surgical Unit, and Women’s Surgery hold a very special place in my heart. In my opinion, I get to work with the most amazing, knowledgeable, compassionate nurses in our organization. I am so thankful the Lord placed me at the Women’s Campus that day and every day.
