Jessica demonstrates everything positive that a nurse can be. She always has a positive attitude with patients and co-workers. She thinks outside the box when problem-solving; specifically, Jessica assisted one patient having difficulty breaking a cycle of negative thoughts which was leading to much anxiety for the patient. Jessica came up with a solution that incorporated the use of both tactile and visual senses which served to reinforce the role of positive thinking quickly. The patient was thrilled with the concept, so much so that she shared it with peers and they soon requested the tool so they could implement the strategy as well. Jessica demonstrates her enthusiasm for nursing on a daily basis by educating herself through research, reading, and seeking out seasoned staff of all disciplines to learn from and obtain feedback. She is a joy to work with and the patients respond to her in a positive manner.
