Jessica Benefield, RN
I came into the emergency room on April 8, 2025, and received some news that I was not expecting, to say the least. I ended up being admitted and spent several hours with Jessica. She went above and beyond to make sure I was mentally okay due to the news I’d just received, and above and beyond to make sure I was as comfortable as I could possibly be. She even found me a fan! Jessica is definitely a huge asset to Colquitt Regional and is the exact person I needed today. Thank you, Jessica, for making what could have been a very hard day a lot less painful.

I was admitted to the ER on 03/27/2025 with severe abdominal pain due to an abscess. Jessi Benefield was my nurse. I was treated with genuine compassion by Jessi. She came across immediately as a sincere, competent caregiver. She was attentive to my needs and acted promptly on every question and request I had.
From asking for a hospital bed instead of an ER bed, to getting me warm blankets, to offering me a popsicle and a Diet Coke, to starting my pain medication as soon as she was able. The thing that especially stood out to me was that she appeared to really love her job.
There was no indication whatsoever that she was going through the motions, nor was she ever in a hurry to finish what she had to do and move on to the next thing. No hurriedness at all. I received exceptional care from Jessi, and it was a total pleasure being under her care. I believe she went above and beyond in her duties. She is a true professional and, in my opinion, an outstanding role model.
