Jessica spoke with the most captivating and comforting verbal cadence I have ever encountered. It wasn't what she said but how she used her exquisite talent of communication to help guide me through this very difficult time in my life. The mastery in her communication talent far exceeds the development of professional nursing communication skills.
Jessica Boehle was the RN who cared for my brother. She was the guide for me and my 4 siblings through my brother's end of life care. She has made a difference in my life that will leave a lasting impression. I will remember her and think about her for the rest of my life. She models all the positive skills and traits every nurse should have, in addition to blending in her exquisite talent of communication.
For the last 2 days of my brother's life, Jessica identified and interpreted the multiple differing cues from me and all my family members and responded in a very compassionate and effective manner. To assure we understood everything that was happening she repeated verbal descriptions using different terminology and offering personal experiences to explain what she was seeing, thinking, and what she was doing. There is really no way to adequately describe how much I appreciate all that Jessica did for my brother, for my siblings, and for me. To say Jessica has a wonderful talent isn't the message I want to send. I want to thank her for using her exceptional talent of communication for the most wonderful purpose of taking care of others. For this experience, I will be forever grateful.
