Jessica Boyd, RN

At my request, a nurse from our orthopedic floor called the OR to ask for a staff member to look at a critical drain that appeared to be irreparable. Jessica volunteered without hesitation, gathered her supplies, and repaired the drain within 5 minutes. Her method of repair was novel and potentially avoided temporary paralysis of my patient or a return to the OR.
