Jessica is one of our Band 6 Sisters who works on the Day Surgery Unit.  Jessica is extremely caring and ensures that both staff and patients are all well cared for and supported. Jessica is an inspiring role model to colleagues. When I first joined the department, she took the time to teach and support me, which I am extremely grateful for. Whenever I face any troubles or questions, Jessica is always there to turn to.  Jessica has recently improved our service by uploading our post-op leaflets onto QR codes, which allows patients and parents to easily scan these and save them to their phones. This has been extremely helpful with providing our patients with relevant post-op advice.  Jessica was involved with arranging for the 'Pyjama Fairies' to visit, which is a charity that provides our children with colourful printed theatre gowns. This has had a positive impact on our patients as they love wearing colourful gowns with their favourite patterns on.

Jessica has made a real difference to our patients through her own desire to improve patient experiences. Having surgery can be extremely scary for children, but Jessica has made that process much easier for children and their families.  Thank you Jessica!
