I have had hospital stays before but not in this hospital, and never have I been so well cared for. Ultimately I ended up with a pacemaker before being discharged as my heart rate all too often dipped into the 20s. Jessica could not have been more attentive. Her knowledge of cardiac care seemed top notch and she often expedited any coordination I needed with meds, tests or with doctors.
Perhaps the best example was on discharge day. There was some confusion on my part as to whether my wound dressing should be covered so I could shower, and whether I was to go back on both meds I had previously been on or just one. She tried to reach both cardiologists involved with my treatment but did not receive timely calls back. On her own initiative, she reached out to the head of the cardiac group who did call back and advised what to do about both issues. Problem resolved, resulting in peace of mind for me.
