It is with great pleasure to recommend Jessica Coats for the DAISY Award. On 10-29-11 I burned myself with burning Crisco oil, taken to your facility (MIHS) via chopper. I was treated in ER Burn Center and taken to a room. I told Jessica that I wanted to go and treat the burns myself. She was a true “Pro”. She informed me of how serious my burns were. We talked for a while and I told her I was on empty. She looked me straight in the eye and said that if I was really “on empty” that I already knew I needed to stay. So I did. For 4 days I had great staff taking care of me. I thank God that Jessica and I crossed paths that day. Only the Almighty knows what would have happened to me if I went home. Thank you for a great facility and stellar staff. Jessica Coats RN is a person I’ll never forget.
