We brought JD to the emergency room with stomach pain. We were a 2-hour drive from home and arrived late at night. We are very appreciative of the care and compassion that Jessica showed to us.
JD ended up having to have an NG tube placed and was admitted to the hospital. The experience was very frightening for JD. Jessica made it as easy as possible. She inserted the NG tube patiently and with much care while explaining every step to JD. This made him feel a little better about having the tube inserted.
The hospital was filled to the maximum capacity, so we were going to have to spend the night in the emergency room until a room became available. Jessica was very apologetic. She moved us to a larger emergency room and provided us a recliner chair for our comfort. The cafeteria was closed, so she provided us with cokes, graham crackers, and saltines to hold us till the morning.
