The DAISY Award banner continued to grace the halls of Oakland Center’s 6 Tower for another month, when Jessica Crowley, RN, was honored with the July DAISY Award. Jessica was nominated by two of her patients: “This nurse enters the room with a beautiful smile and extraordinary attitude. She is kind, caring, sweet, and is really concerned about the well being of patients. She is a great example of being professional at work. She is an awesome nurse.” And the second patient said: “She goes beyond her duties, patient, very helpful, never complains, cheers you up. She answers all questions. If she doesn’t know, she will get back to you when she finds out. She pays attention to all of my needs.”
It is truly a testament to our nurses when their patients take the time to tell us about their exceptional care. As the 6 Tower Manager, Jolly Antony, read Jessica’s nomination letters, her co-workers were looking in her direction. They knew that the kind words were meant for Jessica, as they see her compassion and dedication exhibited every day with her patients.
