May 2020 Honoree
jessica dalton, BSN, RN, CV-BC, CCRN-CMC
My mom was in grave shape. Her health was failing, and so was our hope. She was on a ventilator and sedated for the second time. Jessica Dalton was her night shift nurse one night. I was emotionally and physically exhausted from being in the hospital from morning until night. I told Jess I was leaving for the night. She told me not to worry, that she and my mom were going to the spa that night, and they were going to get manis and pedis. I laughed and headed to my car for my 30-minute drive home. The next day I went in to see my mom and her hair was braided beautifully to the side (away from the ventilator), and her nails and toenails were polished. It meant so much to me to have someone like Jessica care for my mom since she could no longer care for herself. She went above and beyond her duties to show care for a patient, and my family and I will never forget her.v
Thank you, Jessica, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
