I would like to nominate your wonderful nurse Jessica of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit. Our father was admitted to Carle Hospital with heart problems. A heart cath was performed on Dad which landed him in CVICU. Jessica was Dad's nurse. Jessica was compassionate, kind, and funny. Even though we only knew her for a few short hours, she was like family to us. We learned where she lived, that she hated driving in the snow, and all about her life. She continued her nursing duties on Dad; Oxygen, heart monitor, helping him with his supper while maintaining a peaceful, positive attitude. Jessica was with him when he had a heart attack. The kindness and compassion she showed that evening while we were at our darkest moments of our life was a moment never to be forgotten. Carle is extremely lucky to have Jessica who made a difference in our lives.
