Jessica Ellis, RN

We recently admitted a patient who does not have any known relatives/family/friends. Jessica found out this patient’s cat was taken to a shelter when EMS brought the patient in. Jess went out of her way to facilitate and coordinate the transfer of the cat to a cat rescue. She spent countless hours outside of work, ensuring the cat was not placed up for adoption and that she (the cat) was in a safe environment. I truly admire Jess as not only an RN but also as a patient advocate. Her actions encompass extraordinary nursing care, compassion, imagination, and integrity.
