Jessica Estrada was my nurse when I was admitted for the delivery of my first son. I did my best to prepare for the whole childbirth experience, but I knew there was so much that could happen that I wouldn't be prepared for. Jessica was our saving grace and provided excellent emotional support, pain management techniques, education, and guidance. She allowed me to have a voice but was my advocate when I could not speak, provided physical comfort techniques when I didn't know how to be comfortable, and walked me through the whole labor process, all while monitoring the vital signs of me and my baby. From the moment she stepped in, her calm demeanor and warm smile instantly put me at ease. She wasn't just doing her job; she was there with us every step of the way, offering encouragement, support, and expert care. Not only did she keep me comfortable and reassured during those intense contractions, but she also took the time to answer all our questions, no matter how trivial they seemed. And trust me, there were plenty of them!

Her patience and willingness to explain everything in a way that we could understand truly made a world of difference. But what really blew me away was her unwavering dedication and professionalism. Even when things got a little hectic, she remained cool, collected, and in control, ensuring that both the baby and I were safe and well taken care of. She even stayed longer than her shift when I had to proceed with a c-section after 2.5 hours of pushing. Knowing how burnt-out nurses already are, I was blown away by her compassion and willingness to stay past her shift end. Thank you, Jessica, for going above and beyond to make our birthing experience one that we'll always cherish. You're an absolute rockstar, and we couldn't have asked for a better nurse to share this special moment with.
