Jessica Gabbert was promoted to Clinical Resource Nurse a little over a year ago, based on her strong commitment to our unit and our organization, her passion for promoting and role modeling customer service not only to our patients but to each other, and her great ability to be a true resource to our unit. Jess has served on the CNPC for 2+ years and has become a strong advocate for giving the nursing profession a voice in the organization by encouraging staff involvement at the unit level. She serves on our Customer Service Committee and, along with another colleague, introduced the Beads for Deeds program to our campus. She is a passionate educator and is chair of our unit’s Education Committee; dedicating many hours to ensure staff are capable and confident in their abilities to provide excellent care to our patients.
One of her biggest achievements and contributions is no doubt the Preceptor Program, which she envisioned and worked tirelessly to implement on our unit. This unique program is the first formal mentor program of its kind for our organization and, while still in its early stages of implementation, already shows great promise and progress. Through all her dedication and involvement, Jessica always maintains a positive attitude, has a great sense of humor, and wears a smile every shift she works on our unit. She is a shining example of an employee who exemplifies our organization’s mission and values!
