My 29-year-old brother was in a traumatic accident while riding a bicycle. He spent two weeks in the ICU at Inland Valley Medical Center. Jessica was one of his first nurses in the ICU and she treated my brother and our family was such compassion and kindness. My brother was on a ventilator, had multiple lines and drains, and had a few surgeries within the first 48 hours.

Jessica took the time to explain each procedure and piece of equipment. She advocated for my brother during medical rounds by gently reminding the rest of the medical team that he was a healthy, 29-year-old before the accident and we wanted to be aggressive with his recovery. He was sitting up on the side of the bed (with a lot of support from PT) less than 72 hours after the accident! Jessica has a calm demeanor that was incredibly reassuring during our family crisis. Her knowledge and skill were critical in helping him recover quickly. And her optimism and friendly attitude provided our family with comfort. We are so grateful for her support and taking care of my brother like he was a member of her family.
