When Jessica has any sort of "downtime" in her room, she will go into another room and work with that group to get the patient prepped and the case started. She will pull supplies for other rooms and give breaks to the other nurses. She is always on the move taking care of the department and her peers.
Jessica greets everyone with a smile and kind words. She will come in on her days off to help the team and often volunteers to stay late to help the flow of the lab and prevent her co-workers from having a very late night.
Jessica is an advocate for her patients. She is very knowledgeable and continues to seek continuing education. She demonstrates her passion in every role she takes, as a mentor, she comforts and accurately documents the case, as scrub, she is diligent with sterile scrub procedures, and has infection prevention as her number one priority. As a circulator, Jessica sedates and carefully monitors all the vital signs of her patient. When not sedating, Jessica is making sure everyone has all the proper equipment needed to perform their roles. Jessica is the definition of a team player. I feel honored to work with Jessica.
