My father had a cath. procedure at the UTHET CVC Cath Lab. Due to a long history of heart-related issues, he and our family were quite nervous about the procedure. From step one to discharge the team was amazing!
Unfortunately, the team could not get an IV started. Neither the nurse nor her backup could get an IV placed. Jessica came to the rescue! She did her best, but even she was unsuccessful in placing the IV. But, she kept Dad at ease and kept him from worrying. He knew she was going to keep trying or figure something out. She spoke calmly to him and made sure he knew they were still in control of the situation. Ultimately, Dr. K had to place the IV, but without Jessica's calm demeanor and the skill of her team, Dad would have been 10X's more nervous than he already was. Our family is extremely thankful for the care received and so very thankful to Jessica!
