A couple of weeks ago, my precious 3 month old niece was brought into the emergency room and unfortunately passed away. The staff worked tirelessly to bring her back, but she was called home to be with the Lord. We are grateful for all the staff there caring for her and us that night, but I wanted to highlight one remarkable nurse there with us. Jessica was the main nurse there at my sister's side during the whole scenario. She let my sister and her husband stay in the room the whole time they were trying to bring my niece back to us, and she explained everything to them, letting them be a part of what was going on and letting them know exactly what to expect. They got to be with her for the last moments, which we are all grateful for. She let them hold their sweet baby and love on her for the last time, after dressing her in the most precious way, while awaiting the funeral home. We all got to come in and see her, she looked so precious as if she was sleeping. Jessica went above and beyond not only to care for my niece but also for my sister and for us as a family. We can never be more grateful for her and the care she gave all of us that night.
