I came down with Pancreatitis. Jessica was my nurse for three days in a row. The Med/Surg department was packed to the gills, but it always seemed like Jessica was my own private nurse. She listened to all my concerns, let me ask a lot of questions, provided answers to everything I asked, and always did it with joy and a smile. I have dietary needs due to food allergies and because I am vegan. Jessica helped make a meal plan for when I was discharged from Lakeland because one did not exist due to my dietary restrictions. She helped me figure out what I could or could not eat while in the hospital. Jessica also was very friendly with my wife, asked questions about my family, and showed genuine interest in hearing my stories. She is a spectacular nurse. Even though I was very ill, I felt “at home.”
