Jessica was the first nurse I met. From Day one, she has helped our family feel at ease. We did not know of C's RCDH before her birth. Jessica answered questions about CHD and the NI/ICU. She was kind, patient, capable and personable. Jessica showed us she cared for C, even when she was not her bedside nurse. She greeted us warmly in the hall. She stopped by C's pod to see how everyone was doing. We were extremely pleased each day we arrived to see Jessica by C's pod. We wish she could have been our daughter's primary day shift nurse. Jessica anticipated C's needs (both medical and emotional). She was skilled in her craft and provided C with exceptional medical care. She also understood me, and was able to teach me how to care for C, and how to help her improve - ultimately decreasing her stay at CHOP.

Jessica is the closest to a friend that we have at CHOP. She decreased our stress levels when she was C's nurse. She did so with all of the attributes I have mentioned. Not only should Jessica be a recipient of the DAISY Award, she should be the FIRST. She sets the bar (and our expectations of CHOP Nurses) high. Thank you Jessica. We will never forget you.
