For our cohort at Goldfarb, Professor LaRose quickly became more than just a teacher for us. She was our favorite instructor through our first term, and for a lot of us, she still is our favorite instructor even though we usually only see her in passing now.

Even though she does not see us much in our second term, she will always stop to say hi and see how everything is going for us in our current term and with life in general. What made her truly stand out to us was her unique ability to treat us not just as students, but as people. She did an amazing job balancing being incredibly personable and approachable while still holding us to the highest academic standards and pushing us to excel as student nurses.

Every single class, LaRose put forth her best effort into teaching us, ensuring we had every opportunity to achieve success and always finding ways to make the concepts she was lecturing on make sense for us. What makes her impact truly extraordinary is that she maintained this incredible level of excellence and support even while navigating her own personal loss, having lost family members during our term with her. Her strength and continued commitment to us during such a difficult time were incredibly inspiring to us all.

As a result of all this, LaRose fostered an atmosphere in which everyone admired her, and my friends and I still truly love and adore her. She embodies the very best of nursing, both as an educator and as a compassionate individual. She truly is doing an exceptional job of shaping the next generation of nurses. She is the epitome of exceptional teaching, resilience, empathy, and genuine care for everyone.
