“Our stay at UH was not going as well as we had hoped. There was miscommunication and assumptions made that really had us upset and frustrated. Because we were frustrated, we were complaining, a lot!! I mean to everyone that came in, multiple times. I will honestly say we were not the best patient. We never got aggressive or called nurses, we were just crabby. That night and the next day we tried to not complain, just go with it. Then, that night they screwed up his medical issues. Taking him off fluid restrictions at one point, when he wasn’t supposed to be. Messed up the diet, again. Then, this shining example of a nurse came to us. For 2 days she calmed, comforted and corrected immediately any errors. In fact, on her second day with us she is the one who caught an error the med staff had made. I can’t believe what a difference she made in our care. Even on her day off the next day she stopped by to make sure we were ok. Your hospital is so lucky to have such a kind, compassionate and PATIENT staff member. Without her we may have ended up with medical complications. Truly we were blessed to have her. When something bad happens people often pray for help. Help us get through tough times, send someone to guide us and watch over us. I believe God answers prayers & he sent Jess to us when we were at our lowest. She is our Guardian Angel & we will never forget her. Jess, thank you for being a blessing in our life, we want to take a moment and let you know how much you are appreciated. You are a true angel to us, and we are more grateful to you than words can express. Few people possess the considerate, unselfish, loving heart that you have and even fewer are willing to give so much of themselves.
