August 2026 Honoree
Jessica Loving, RN
My father has been in the AICU at St. Agnes for about 6 days. I work in healthcare and understand how hard it can be. It’s been a very tough week for me and my family. As soon as we arrived to visit my Dad, Jessica greeted us with a smile. She thoroughly explained every detail of her care. She spoke to me like a human and not a scripted robot. She sat with me while I cried and made tough decisions. She laughed with me when I needed it.
She is the epitome of what a nurse should be. She’s thoughtful, detail-oriented, calming, appropriately funny, empathetic, and honest. She never tried to sugarcoat things, but delivered each new change and care plan item so professionally and personally!
My Dad has been intubated and sedated. She still spoke to him as if he were going to respond and knew exactly what was going on. I had to make a tough decision today. I felt comfortable going home tonight because I knew she would be caring for my Dad today, and likely tomorrow.
I hope she knows what an impact she had on me and the trust she restored for me while my dad is in the AICU. Thank you

I am writing to express my deepest appreciation for the exceptional care provided by Jessica during my recent stay in the ICU for a pulmonary embolism. From the moment she entered my room, she demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and clinical expertise that transformed an overwhelming and frightening experience into one where I felt genuinely supported and safe.
She went above and beyond in every aspect of her care. She monitored my condition with diligence and accuracy, clearly explained each step of my treatment, and consistently ensured my comfort and well-being. Her calm presence, empathy, and attentiveness offered tremendous reassurance during one of the most challenging moments of my life.
She brings exceptional skill and genuine dedication to her work. Her commitment not only contributed significantly to my recovery but also made a lasting impact on my experience at Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital.
Please extend my heartfelt gratitude and admiration to Jessica for her outstanding service. She is truly an asset to the ICU team and to the entire organization.
