I had the pleasure of having a caring and helpful nurse, Jessica, as I was put into the ICU. Scared half to death and hooked up to a heart machine!! IVs in my veins, lights and beeping all around me!! Knowing she was busy with my paperwork, she saw the tears pouring down my cheeks, she took the time to stop, look me in the eyes, take my hand and say, "D, you are gonna be ok!" Well, it wasn't a whole lot, but it was worth a million bucks to me. I saw her a few more times as my night went on and, just as I figured, she was just as cheerful at 3:00 am as she was 10:00 pm. I want to recognize Jessica for going above and beyond her call of duty. Thank you for just stopping to help calm a scared old man down. So, God bless RN Jessica. Keep it up. Don't change, check into counseling. Once again, she eased my nerves!
