I was a patient at Trinity for two stays and a total of thirteen days. As an educator for 43 years and a three-term mayor of a small city, I have long supported programs that recognize and mentor young individuals who show outstanding potential and leadership characteristics.
The care and understanding of the nursing staff was excellent but the qualifications of one nurse, Jessica Lyon on Third North, especially stand outstanding.
This young lady is one of the best nurses that I have ever met. Her professionalism, knowledge, and skills are at the top. Her importance goes beyond that. I believe that she is the most caring and understandable medical professional I have ever encountered. I watched her make every patient feel that he/she was her only patient. She took the time to know and understand each of the patients she cared for. She demonstrates that she has a genuine concern for the welfare of each of her patients. I have come to understand the she is also works in the Wound Center has been a float nurse with the responsibility of teaching other nurses.
I would highly recommend her for any mentoring and leadership development programs that may be available. This young lady is one of the best assets of Trinity Regional Medical Center. I believe that she has potential to be an outstanding leader.
