Jessica joined BayCare 11 months ago as a seasoned leader in Home Care and has proven to quickly learn the BayCare Health System P&P. Jessica leads by example and with compassion for not just our patients but the clinicians that she works with. Jessica does not hesitate to instill accountability equally, always beginning with listening and ending with education and if needed coaching. Jessica's display of compassion begins in her tone and involves her listening. Jessica is inquisitive and seeks knowledge regarding team members thus leading to engagement with each one, which has led to their respect for Jessica and her leadership style. Jessica continues to educate her team on financial responsibilities and how to obtain appropriate scoring on patient status. Jessica looks outside of the "box" at processes and is constantly looking for ways to accomplish tasks to improve satisfaction and outcomes. Jessica has, through proper channels of approval, piloted a new form of weekly case conference which is leading to improved patient outcomes, communication, and collaboration which is also leading to team member satisfaction. We look forward to the outcomes measured in this pilot so we can spread this throughout our offices. Jessica has increased her participation in process improvement over the last few months and offers great insight and suggestions. Jessica by nature is a kind and intuitive individual who has adapted the practice of BayCare values leading to excellence with her team. We are fortunate to have Jessica as a Nurse Leader in BCHC.
