When being admitted to the hospital, Jessica Melendez made me feel very special from day one. Jessica went above and beyond the call of duty as a nurse. Even though I was scared and in so much pain, she took very good care of me for 3 days. While I had no family to visit me at this time, Jessica became my guardian angel, assuring me everything was going to be alright. She made sure I was always comfortable, no matter what it took. It was the little things, such as, "How are you feeling, can I get you anything else?" That really touches my heart to know that nurses like this one still exist even at such a young age!
I was so excited when Jessica came back to work after being off for 2 days. Even though she was not my nurse, she once again made my day. Jessica knew this was my birthday and she also knew I was sad that I had to miss my daughter's promotional graduation ceremony in middle school. Jessica came in and surprised me saying "Happy Birthday" and brought me aHäagen-Dazs ice cream bar. This really brightened my day. This has been one of the most amazing, caring nurses I have ever met. Thank you, you rock!
