Our day started with apprehension and excitement. This is our first pregnancy and the "unknown" was soon to be apparent. We have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of our baby girl but the day came when it was finally time to be induced. Jess stood waiting for us in the hall with a smile and reassurance. We automatically knew we were in good hands! Jess thoroughly explained everything that was going to happen, changes throughout the day, and what we may expect. She put our minds at ease and although I was uncomfortable and in pain, her bedside manner and compassionate care made me feel so much better. When the time came to be rushed to an emergency C-section, Jess stayed by our sides! Although her shift was now over at that time. Jess stayed with me and my husband! We will never forget her and love to thank her for staying with us and making us feel safe while welcoming our girl into the world! She is our hero!
