Jessica goes above and beyond for her patients, whether that means grabbing them a special coffee at Peets or extra time to chat with them at the bedside.
Jessica CNIII, is one of our Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurses, and our chemotherapy and DEI champion. In the last year, Jessica has made it a personal goal to engage in DEI work on 14L. She joined the Nursing DEI council and she has a goal of starting a 14L Diversity Council. In an effort to launch this council, Jessica worked with leaders to create a 14L DEI needs assessment. This assessment was in the form of a survey sent to all 14L staff to gather baseline data on their DEI needs. Jessica will analyze the data and work with leadership to develop tactics to address the DEI needs of 14L staff. Jessica will be instrumental in leading what will be the first unit-based DEI council in adult inpatient acute care. Beyond her DEI efforts, Jessica is an expert clinician on 14L. She always provides compassionate, patient-centered care. She goes above and beyond for her patients, whether that means grabbing them a special coffee at Peets or extra time to chat with them at the bedside. Her patients report that she is "amazing, kind and empathetic". She excels in communication with patients and families especially when providing end-of-life care. She is respected and trusted by her patients, their families, and her peers. Jessica is a born leader, and she should be recognized for her excellent care, compassion, and dedication to making 14L the best place for patients and her colleagues!!!
