I had a traumatic car accident and spent a couple of weeks in the burn unit before coming to the rehab floor. I still had a number of open wounds/burns and felt very weak and was scared to move to acute rehab. Jessica really helped get me through. She is extremely skilled in wound care and helping me with my twice-daily dressing changes. She always checked to make sure that my pain was managed and I was comfortable. She is extremely hard working and never passed along work to others but was always there making sure her patients were taken care of. She patiently helped my family understand how I was doing, answered any questions, and showed in detail how to do my dressing changes. When I came down with an infection, she escalated the situation quickly and got the right doctors in the room immediately to ensure that I was as comfortable as possible and that I was diagnosed and treated. She is a huge part of my recovery and I cannot thank her enough.
