This letter is to let you know that yesterday was six months from my husband's passing. The truth is that I still think about you, Jessica Pomeroy, and the incredible role you played in his last days. I remember even the first time he was in the hospital in the overflow area, and you came to check up on him, following him wherever he landed. Then, after the second long-term stay, you kept showing up, leaving us with the assurance that somebody we knew was still concerned for him. Staff changed so often, but you were a constant. Then, that morning, when I got there early in the day, he was supposed to go to surgery, and we were miserable. I begged the nurse for help, and she called you and your team. You took charge, you got the doctor there, and you got him to the ICU with me gratefully trailing behind you. You were his angel that day. I doubt you often get the credit you deserve, and now, even six months later, I am still compelled to show my gratitude in this simple way. Thank you for all you do.
