One evening Jessica floated to ABI to work. One of our patients (not even assigned to her) had Skype set up (so he could witness the birth of his first child) during the dayshift by a staff member. This is a brain injured patient and he could not remember who set up the Skype or on which computer they had it set up. His dad was with him and he did not know either. His fiancé was on the other end of the phone describing the office that they saw on Skype at their end. We had EVS open several offices and could not locate the Skype set up. Her delivery was going to happen very, very soon. She was already fully dilated and was being told to push. Our patient was about to miss the birth of his first child. Jessica found a solution. She logged onto her Skype account on a portable computer, and was able to access his "account." That was right at 11pm our time. At 11:26pm, Kennedy Paige Green was welcomed into the world and our patient was able to witness this miracle. Thank you, Jessica, for helping a patient in need.
