From the very second I stepped on the 7th floor, Jess has been there for me whenever I needed her. She went out of her way to make me feel better when I wasn’t feeling the best and took the time to get to know me. She made herself relatable for a 17-year-old, like me. When I was getting discouraged or having a bad day, she would cheer me up by making me laugh. We had a running joke about my fluid IV machine always beeping and being too sensitive. She even upgraded my IV bags from 1 liter to 3-liter bags. She went above and beyond every day she was my nurse and made my experience at Texas Children's Hospital so much better. You can tell she has a heart full of gold that she’s always willing to lend you a hand when you’re not feeling the best. Although I wasn’t here for a while, I formed an amazing bond with Jess!
