Jessica is an outstanding nurse! There is never a time when she is too busy to help a co-worker or patient, and if she cannot respond immediately when someone asks, she is always genuinely apologetic as though it is her responsibility, not her choice. She is caring and thoughtful to each of her co-workers and extremely attentive to all of her patients.
As a preceptor for our new nurses to our unit, she is patient, positive, and you can see clearly that the love of her job spreads and encourages others. It doesn't matter how many Code Browns you have in a shift, Jess will always offer to help - without complaint. That is a huge compliment! It is such an important part of our job, not only for hygiene and infection control - but for the patients' well-being and morale.
Approaching even the most unpleasant tasks with a smile and a positive attitude makes all of her patients and co-workers appreciate and love her.
Jessica is truly a JOY to be around!
