Jessica Reibel, RN
Jess is an up-and-coming nurse leader who has been recognized often for her dedication and desire for patients care. A patient at one of our hospitals was experiencing multiple rapid response events while on dialysis and as such was experiencing high anxiety during treatments. Jess was his nurse for treatment after his last rapid response. During the high emotional times for the patient, Jess comforted and assured the patient which in turn decreased the patient’s anxiety on multiple occasions throughout treatment. She continuously assessed the patient’s needs and was present for him. The patient did not need any medicinal interventions and treatment was completed without complication. The hospital staff praised her and recognized her caring nursing behaviors although for her it was just doing her job. Her devotion and pride in her work shines through her patient outcomes. Jess truly cares for her patients as if they were family.
