I responded to an MRT call on Wednesday on 5 North. There was a patient barely arousable, slumped over in a chair, and had soiled himself. Jessica Roberts was extremely attentive to the patient, talked to the patient's wife, and assisting with getting him lifted back to bed. She then stayed and helped wipe and clean the patient up.
Once he was back in bed, we were in the room for about 45 minutes together. Once he was stabilized and we were leaving I started giving her recommendations on proceeding with the patient's care, she then told me "Oh, I'm not his nurse, I am just the ERAS nurse". I was very impressed and shocked as I thought she was the patient's bedside nurse. She had gone way above and beyond her job description in order to provide the best patient care and outcomes for this gentleman.
