January 2015 Honoree
jessica sealock, RN
Jessica was nominated by a mom whose twins were airlifted to LeBonheur and both with the diagnosis of NEC. Jessica made a connection with the mother of the patients and tried to help her be comfortable with her new surroundings. One of the twins passed away shortly after arrival. Jessica was one of the last nurses to care for the baby. She not only took care of the baby as though he were her own, she took care of the baby's entire family as though it was her family. She gave out hugs and offered every resource available.
Jessica went back to check on the mother even when she wasn't the surviving twin's nurse. She made sure she kept the connection with the mother.

Thank you, Jessica, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
