Jessica Sheffer, RN

We have a patient in our swing bed unit, and her daughter comes to visit her frequently. It was her daughter's birthday, and the patient was sad in the hospital. She stated that she wished she had a card to give her. Jessica left work, went to the store, and purchased a birthday card that was written for a daughter. She then helped the patient fill it out and add her own words. Jessica frequently does things that help the patient's state of mind and happiness. She values their mental well-being as much as their physical. She truly has a heart for her patients.
