Jess Shelton is an exceptional ED Nurse who consistently exemplifies every core value of our organization. She is a preceptor for new graduate nurses in the ED and is regularly called out for her kindness, patience and welcoming presence for our newest nurses. Jess recognizes areas for needed improvement in our department and then works to develop and enacts solutions. One example of this in action is when Jess implemented a post-discharge process in the ED. Jess took it upon herself to develop a callback form and calls patients after discharge from the emergency department on a regular basis. She then gives feedback to the rest of our staff to help improve our care.
