After coming in for a regular appointment, my 34-week-old (gestational age) baby's heart was not fluctuating as it should. After a night in the hospital, and a crazy next day, I finally had to have an emergency C-section.
I was a wreck, crying, shaking, and thinking the worst! I had to be put under because I ate breakfast. After exiting the operating room, Jessica was my nurse. She made me so comfortable, she made me laugh, took my phone to take pictures of my 34-week-old early baby girl who was having trouble breathing on her own. She made sure I always was on track, always had water, made sure baby was okay, made sure my family staying with me was okay and in the loop of things. She made my stay a comfortable one to remember. Even when I left two days later, she gave us hugs on the way out and told us she would keep an eye on the baby. This made me feel that she was very safe.
