Jess was such a blessing to us during our daughter's stay in the PICU after a major surgery. Two years ago, M was in the PICU, and the stay was a bit traumatic for both her and her parents. So, going into another hospital stay, we were all very, very nervous. However, it was Jess who made all the difference this time. She was able to connect to M in a way that not many can. She spent time talking to her, connecting with her, and genuinely being her friend. When M was in pain, it was Jess she wanted to comfort her and help distract her. When a new IV was needed, our anxious daughter allowed Jess to place it. It is a big thing for M to trust someone, especially with medical things. Jess gained her friendship and trust, allowing her to treat her physically and help heal some old medical trauma wounds. We will forever be grateful for her and her dedication to her patients. She is genuine and caring and takes time to really see the person she is caring for.
