Jessica Ta has been exceptional since the moment she started in this department. Jessica goes above and beyond for every patient. In our population of patients, they come at their lowest point, and often at a critical time in their life, where they are ready to make the choice to get sober. Jessica fights for every patient to have the chance to be heard and seek treatment. I have seen her sit with patients for hours, trying to help them be sober enough to meet criteria for admission, providing juice and crackers while they wait. Other patients she has spent days and hours tracking down referrals for patients who do not have the resources or advocate to help them get the care they deserve. Jessica brings the same energy to her team members. She is caring and compassionate, a team player beyond measure.
