Nominated by a patient: I had an operation which required me to stay overnight for observation...when I returned to my room for the night Jessica was my evening nurse. She was compassionate and understanding of my pain, was pleasant and kind to my family (mom, dad, husband, and three young children in that small room!!). There was never an eye roll but always a smile and she seemed to anticipate my needs before my request. I have had many experiences in hospitals and Jessica was by far the BEST nurse I have ever had the pleasure of being in the care of. I told her, "Jessica, I think you are spoiling me!" She replied, "I hear that a lot, but that's my job and I love it!" It was obvious in every interaction that Jessica was meant to be a nurse and the kind of nurse every patient deserves. Thank you Jessica! You made an anxious and difficult time more pleasant than I could have ever expected.
