Jessica's care for patients is constantly at the highest level. She is kind and caring and ensures every patient feels heard and cared about.
I twisted my knee after playing football. It hurt really bad, so I went to the ED. My nurse, Jessica, took her time moving my leg to see where I was hurt. She was patient and kind, even making jokes to take my mind off the pain. While we were waiting for the doctor, she went across the hall to tend to another patient and helped to calm him down. She was very kind to him and tried to help him understand what was going on.

She addressed all of my son's concerns with attentiveness and compassion.  She never made us feel rushed and was a total professional from start to finish.

This nurse was the only one I saw calling in patients. Never once did she lose her cool under the pressure of a full waiting room. She handled each and every patient as if they were the only ones! She was a total professional. She was balancing multiple patients, taking her time with each one, and making sure they got what they needed. She did all of this with a smile! I was overly impressed. Under those circumstances, this superhero never lost her cool!

With an entire waiting room of patients, my nurse treated me like I was the only one there!  She even helped a patient across the hall who was verbally upset.  She excused herself to tend to him and apologized upon returning.

Jessica continually goes above and beyond in the ED. And she does so without complaining. Her care for patients is constantly at the highest level. She is kind and caring and ensures every patient feels heard and cared about. She does this while ensuring her staff is well taken care of. Following a pediatric trauma that was pronounced, Jessica ensured every staff member in the room had an opportunity to walk away for a moment and recollect. She was there to listen if needed but made sure staff was okay even if it meant she had extra responsibility at the time. She often is in the charge position and takes several other assignments on top of charge, again never with a complaint. She is a perfect example of a leader and is one of the best nurses I’ve ever had the privilege to work beside.
