March 2026 Honoree
Jessica Waltenburg, RN
Jessica Waltenburg took care of my son in the ER when he was very dehydrated. My son has autism with significant sensory issues. I was highly impressed with how caring and compassionate she was with him. From the moment we were placed into a room, the lights were dimmed. She made sure there wasn't much noise for him. She explained everything to him and was very patient. She gave him a squishy toy when he needed an IV started. Her calm demeanor helped him be calm. Jessica is an amazing nurse and an even more amazing individual. We left feeling very cared for. It speaks volumes when nurses go the extra mile, and Jessica absolutely did that for my son. She made the experience less scary for him.
Thank you, Jessica, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
